Seniors

The senior category is for swimmers born before 2004 and swimmers born before 2005. In this category the aim is sports performance, work on the process of specialisation of the swimmers.

  

The main objectives are:   

Train to compete, train to win.   

To improve technical quality in accordance with the swimmer's speciality and characteristics, increasing swimming efficiency, using kinematic indicators, as well as individual filming, image analysis and video viewing.  

To enhance main individual abilities according to swimmer's speciality and characteristics.  

Development and maintenance of stability and flexibility of the different anatomical regions, as well as the development of breathing techniques, using the swimmer's physiological, technical, anthropometric and athletic profile.   

Contribute to the swimmer's integral training as a citizen and sportsman, through the principles and fundamental values of competitive sport.  

Create strategies to maintain a positive, healthy and motivating training environment.  

Provide conditions to maintain the team's motivation, spirit of mutual help and respect for everyone's effort.  

Encourage resilience and persistence for the swimmer's self improvement.  

Promote teamwork to achieve common goals.  

Evaluate, prescribe and monitor according to scientific evidence.

 

SPORTS  

 

Increase the representativeness of the club in:   

National championships;  

Raise the competitive level of the team - obtain outstanding classifications.

  

WATER TRAINING 

 

To enhance main individual abilities according to swimmer's speciality and characteristics. 

Emphasize the individualization of training and formulate personal goals and strategies to achieve them.  

Use of available technological tools (virtual trainer, filming, video analysis...) as a way of evaluating and controlling the training process as well as maintaining the motivation of the team's work.   

 

PHYSICAL TRAINING  

 

Anthropometric Evaluation and Movement Quality.   

Evaluation of athletic profile and strength.  

Planning according to individual characteristics.  

Implementing and raising awareness of the importance of training routines aimed at reducing the risk of injury.

  

NUTRICIONIST 

 

Monitor of healthy eating habits.  

To signal athletes who need a more individual follow-up.  

 

PSYCHOLOGIST

  

To monitor and develop the essential dimensions for the athlete's development.   

Monitoring of individual motivational indexes.  

To signalize athletes who need a more individual follow-up. 

 

PHYSIOTHERAPIST 

 

Establish pre and post competition routines.  

Define intervention protocols to reduce the risk of injury.  

Treatment and recovery of injuries.
